1. GitHub & Code Requirements

  • All project code must be in a public GitHub repository.
  • Your GitHub account must use the same email used for hackathon registration.
  • Basic Git knowledge is required (e.g., commit, push, pull).
  • All team contributions must be done on GitHub only.

2. Eligibility & Team Formation

  • Register on the Devpost platform:
    https://cavista-hackathon-2026.devpost.com/
  • Teams must have 3–5 undergraduate students from participating institutions.
  • Each school has a maximum of 10 available slots.
  • Failure to follow rules may result in screening out.

3. Project Rules

  • Theme: Predict & Prevent – solutions that anticipate health risks and prevent crises.
  • You may start with an idea you had earlier, but:
    • All work must be done during the hackathon.
  • Pre‑existing projects or code are not allowed, except approved open‑source libraries/frameworks.

4. Judging Criteria (Total: 20 points)

  • Technology (7 pts): Quality of code, engineering skill.
  • Design (3 pts): UI, usability, aesthetics.
  • Business (6 pts): Real‑world need, market potential.
  • Presentation (4 pts): Clarity of pitch, demo, documentation.
  • All submissions and presentations are due before the end time.

5. Hacking Period & Submission Requirements

  • Hacking Starts: 11:00 AM — 21 February 2026
  • Hacking Ends: 12:00 PM — 22 February 2026

All teams must submit, before the end time, the following on Devpost:

  • Their GitHub project URL
  • Their slide presentation
  • Any other required submission materials

No late submissions will be accepted.
